Jake Shields has been just about unbeatable in smaller promotions around the world. Riding a 15-fight win streak that dates back to 2005, Shields finally arrives in the biggest of spots at UFC 129 and it's like he's starting all over again.
Shields was a champion at welterweight and even jumped to middleweight to pick up a couple of wins recently, but now he's stepping into the cage with the guy most fans and media folks believe is top two in the world pound-for-pound. The betting odds reflect the immense amount of respect bettors and fans have for GSP and their general lack of awareness of Shields. Las Vegas sports books have installed St-Pierre as a massive 5-to-1 favorite.
